CHTI Retired
A new designation is now being offered: CHTI Retired for those who have decided to retire from teaching while wanting to stay connected with HBB. CHTIs have been required to be members of HBB. As they retire, we are offering the use of the credential CHTI Retired along with a reduced annual HBB membership rate of $75 USD. To those who use this designation, we extend our gratitude for years of teaching the HBB Healing Touch curriculum.
Note:
- The option for this designation is only available after having completed at minimum 5 years of active, unrestricted teaching.

upon the approach or expiration of your CHTI certification renewal.
- Once retired, you are no longer eligible to teach, supervise, co-teach or formally mentor Instructors-in-Training, and are required to resign from any instructor committees (ITAC or ITC).
- You can, however, formally continue to mentor students in their Course 4 Practicum through CHTP certification, provided you remain current as a CHTP.
- Lastly, we welcome your ongoing contributions and sharing of your wisdom and experience. This could be through writing contributions to our quarterly Perspectives in Healing, attending and/or presenting at our annual conference, participating in monthly practice groups, or serving on committees or boards. Perhaps you have other ideas!
